Page Background GIVING 48 · 2017 GG SPRINGFIELD BUSINESS JOURNAL n Mission Statement The mission of Isabel’s House is to provide immediate refuge for children ages birth to 12 whose families are in crisis. By partnering with families and the community, we will strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect. n Service Area Isabel’s House welcomes any family seeking help, but most of the children who stay at Isabel’s House are from Greene and surrounding counties. n Funding Isabel’s House is primarily funded through generous private donations, including individual, family, and corporate gifts & sponsorships. Additional funding for Isabel’s House comes from grants and foundation gifts, as well as state contract funding provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children’s Division, Early Childhood and Prevention Services Section. Every gift matters and every dollar is needed to maintain the highest quality of care for kids and support families in crisis. n Goals Isabel’s House celebrated its 10th Birthday on June 25th, 2017, commemorating 87,600 continuous hours of safe, loving care for 3,875+ kids and support for 1,900+ families experiencing hardships ranging from homelessness to hospital stays to flights from violence & abuse. In the coming year, Isabel’s House will focus on the implementation of a fully trauma-informed framework for care, including a critical look at how to create more space inside the house for family visits and one-on- one curriculum and therapy. Isabel’s House has also recently formed an Associate Board comprised of young professionals 40 & under. This passionate new leadership group will be focused on widening the network of support for Isabel’s House in our community. n Annual Events “Hooray for Hollywood,” presented by KSPR33, is the largest fund raiser of the year for Isabel’s House.
