Goals
Continue support for survivors of the recent devastating
floods until they achieve full recovery, including help to
repair their homes. Continue to provide comprehensive
services for homeless pregnant women who turn to
LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home, as well as their babies
and children. Expand Financial Counseling and Budgeting
services in order to give more struggling individuals and
families the tools to achieve self-sufficiency. Grow Housing

provides rapid rehousing for the homeless and helps to
maintain stable housing for those at risk of homelessness.
Engage more volunteers and leverage our resources in
order to serve even more neighbors in need.

Testimonials
A struggling couple’s rural home had been severely
damaged by flooding. Catholic Charities staff and
volunteers spent a week repairing the damage and priming
and painting the inside walls and ceilings. As they left, the
wife said, “You know, there are many people who say there
is just no good in the world anymore. I’m here to tell you
that I know better. I have seen good this week and I will tell
everyone that I know how wonderful this experience was
for us. I’m just so grateful.”
A homeless pregnant woman’s statement after living
at LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home for a month: “There’s
stability here. I don’t have to worry now about where I’m
going to go or if there’s going to be enough food to eat.
It feels like I’m starting to get more hope for the future. If I
wasn’t here, I would still be on the streets bouncing around
from place to place and here I just have one stable place
that I can say is mine. There’s help here that I never would
have had on my own on the outside.”
