Catholic Charities staff and volunteers spent a week repairing the damage and priming and painting the inside walls and ceilings. As they left, the wife said, “You know, there are many people who say there is just no good in the world anymore. I’m here to tell you that I know better. I have seen good this week and I will tell everyone that I know how wonderful this experience was for us. I’m just so grateful.” A homeless pregnant woman’s statement after living at LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home for a month: “There’s stability here. I don’t have to worry now about where I’m going to go or if there’s going to be enough food to eat. It feels like I’m starting to get more hope for the future. If I wasn’t here, I would still be on the streets bouncing around from place to place and here I just have one stable place that I can say is mine. There’s help here that I never would have had on my own on the outside.” ADDRESS: 424 E.
