Page Background GIVING n Mission Statement The mission of the CoxHealth Foundation is to facilitate through philanthropy the quality health care, education and research provided by CoxHealth. n Service Area The CoxHealth Foundation programs and services are available to all patients of CoxHealth. n Funding The CoxHealth Foundation is funded through the generosity of grateful patients, community partners and investors who wish to support and promote good health through their local, community hospital. Funding includes memorials, estate gifts, special events, capital campaigns, employee giving and other forms of community support. n Goals The Foundation is currently engaged in a campaign to raise $6.6 million to support renovations to Cox College. This will allow the college to increase student capacity to assist in meeting the dire need for nurses and other health professionals in our immediate service area. n Annual Events January: Dining for Diabetes dinner, benefitting the Diabetes Education Fund; February: Food For A Woman’s Heart, luncheon at Touch to benefit the Women’s Heart Fund; March: Colo Rectal Awareness Party aka CRAP to benefit the Colorectal Cancer Prevention Fund; April: Strike Out Sarcoma, bowling fundraiser at Andy B’s for the Strike Out Sarcoma Fund; July: Girls Just Wanna Run 5/10k Race and Walk to benefit the Rehabilitation Fund; September: Top To Bottom Golf Tourney at Millwood to benefit the Breast and Prostate Cancer Funds; October: Radiology Trivia Night to benefit the Radiography Program at Cox College; December: Knot Forgotten, a Holiday Tree campaign for Cancer Services Fund and Wrap It Up, a holiday shopping and celebration event to benefit Children’s MIracle Network Hospitals and the Neuroscience Endowment at the Foundation. n How People & Businesses Can Help The community can help by voluntering for events, donating to any of our 31 Patient Service funds held at the CoxHealth Foundation and by working to stay healthy! n Volunteer Opportunities The CoxHealth Foundation welcomes volunteers for all types of activities office and event related.
