Mission Statement
Camp Barnabas exists to provide life-changing
opportunities and to show others the love of Christ
in every aspect of our ministry by providing a camp
experience to individuals with special needs, physical and/
or intellectual challenges and their siblings.
We ignore the limitations that can be put on individuals
with special needs and offer experiences that push the
limits of what the outside world says is impossible.
Camp Barnabas goes beyond one week at summer
camp. The Barnabas experience changes perspectives
and redefines disability.
n
Service Area
Our campers and missionaries come from all across the
United States. Over the past 22 years, Camp Barnabas has
welcomed more than 75,000 campers and missionaries to
camp. Barnabas has two camp locations: Camp Barnabas
Teas Trail in Purdy, Missouri, and Camp Barnabas on Table
Rock Lake in Shell Knob, Missouri.
n
Funding
Camp Barnabas is primarily funded by the generosity
of individuals, corporations and foundations who believe,
along with us, that individuals with special needs and/or
mental and physical challenges deserve to experience
the affirming fun, restoration, and inspiration summer
camp brings. All money raised, including sponsorships,
from Glamping for Camping and the Big Party Half
Marathon & 5K will go to the Camp Barnabas Camper
Scholarship Fund.
n
Goals
Increase our reach for both campers and missionaries
by 8% in 2018. Provide $750,000 in camper scholarships.
Launch a $5m capital campaign for Barnabas on the Lake
to meet the growing needs of our campers. Continue to
provide life-changing opportunities to 2,500+ individuals
with special needs and physical and/or intellectual
challenges.

Testimonials
“Camp is everything to me. My friends don’t ask what’s
wrong with me or treat me any different. They treat me like
Chance and that is all I want.”
— Chance, age, 17, Barnabas Camper
Campers just like Chance feel accepted. They are
encouraged to try new things. Campers are loved. They
are reminded that they are wonderfully and perfectly
created. Each and every day, they are told YES you can.
Yes, you can live a life of purpose.
