Testimonials
“I was having problems with my family when I was 11. I
got put in residential care. I had no hope that my life would
turn out to be anything other than horrible. I ended up
turning my life around. I created relationships, learned that
I wasn’t such a bad kid after all and could be successful
and do what I wanted. The staff was just there for me in a
time when other people weren’t.”
— Danny, Age 13
“I left a bad home situation that wasn’t safe for me and
my baby, but then I was a homeless, unemployed, teen
mom. I was terrified my baby would be taken from me. The
Empowering Youth program took us both in and the kind
staff helped me find a transitional living program so I could
get back on my feet and provide a better life for my baby.”
— Mena, teen mom
