Mickey Ary, city administrator
Mickey Ary was named Odessa city administrator in April
2015.
Ary, a Carl Junction native, holds a bachelor of arts degree
from Missouri Southern State College, Joplin, a master of divin-
ity degree from Midwestern Seminary, Kansas City, and a master
of public administration degree from Texas Southern University,
Houston.
Prior to coming to Odessa, Ary spent 33 years working in church-
related nonprofit work. He also was recently the part-time city ad-
ministrator of Arcola, Texas, which has a population of 1,600.
Ary and his wife, Ronda, have moved to Odessa. They have a
daughter who lives in Kansas City and a son who lives in Texas.
Ary has said his focus as city administrator is to bring different
groups of residents together to improve the city.
