Cub Scouts
Oak Grove Cub Scout Pack 266 was founded in 1951, and has
been chartered at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church since
1987. Cub scouting starts in first grade or age 7. Although the
scouting year runs concurrent with the school year, a boy can join
at any time.
The Cub Scout Pack has multiple Dens, meeting once a month as
a Pack, then three times a month in their individual Dens.
Pack 266 has consistently earned the National Quality Unit
Award and the National Summertime Activity Award.
Cubmaster is Tim Butters, assistant Cubmaster is Corey Mc-
Ginnis. Jason Meinershagen is committee chairman. Meiner-

Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 266 was founded in 1942 and is one of the most
active troops in Jackson County. The Boy Scout Troop, chartered at
the Oak Grove Community of Christ, has more than 50 members,
and boasts more than 100 scouts reaching the rank of Eagle Scout
through the years. Troop has an active high-adventure program
that has included backpacking in NewMexico, canoeing in northern
Minnesota and attending the National Scout Jamboree.
The year-round camping program has helped Troop 266 earn the
National Camping Award for 41 consecutive years and the National
Quality Unit Award for 42 consecutive years.
Scoutmaster is David Graham, committee chairman is Bryan
Caldarella, and unit commissioner is Mike Heath.
