In addition to posts in every state, the Legion has posts in the District of Columbia, France, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Philippines. American Legion Oak Grove Post 379 is located at 1209 S Broadway. Post 379 welcomes you to consider membership in the Missouri American Legion, the state’s largest veterans service organization. American Legion Auxiliary Post 379 Founded in 1919, the focus of The American Legion Auxiliary is that of Service, Not Self, in fulfillment of the mission to support the American Legion. American Legion Auxiliary Post 379, Oak Grove, has been meeting for more than 76 years. Auxiliary members meet at 7 p.m., the third Monday of each month at the American Legion located at 1209 S Broadway. This year, the Auxiliary has more than 50 members. The Auxiliary welcomes new members. Those eligible for membership are the spouse, daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter or sister of those who have served during conflicts dating back to World War I. Service Veterans Organizations Sons of the American Legion Oak Grove Post 379 Founded in 1932, Sons of The American Legion (SAL) exists to honor the service and sacrifice of American Legion members. All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of the American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died during World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, the Persian Gulf War and the War on Terrorism are eligible for membership. Meetings are held at 6 p.m. each second Monday of the month at the American Legion Post, 1209 S. Broadway.
