Last year was a record breaking year for tourism in the city, according to the Springfield Convention
& Visitors Bureau, and 2015 looks to be even better. Based on all predictions, the trend seems to be
heading in an upward direction and 2016 is looking to be one of, if not the strongest years on record
for tourism in Springfield.
Springfield has a broad tourism industry with draws like parks (national, state and local), sports, retail,
festivals, university activities and dining, just to name a few. While hotels are typically not why people
come to Springfield, hotels are an important factor in why people return. At the Ramada Plaza Hotel &
Oasis Convention, we’re excited about our industry and have made a commitment to continue exceed-
ing the expectations of our guests. We understand every visitor to Springfield has a choice of where

Ramada Plaza Hotel offers 173 guestrooms including 5 lavish suites and features an indoor saltwater
pool nestled in a gorgeous tropical atrium plus a hot tub and outdoor pool, fitness center, and business
center. We also provide our overnight guests with a delicious complimentary hot breakfast buffet
each morning.
With over 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting/convention space in the Oasis Convention Center, we
accommodate meetings, banquets, receptions and conventions from 10-1,500 guests. The convention
center features built-in stage with theatrical lighting, state of the art audio/visual, built-in screens and
wireless Internet with one of the area’s best culinary teams that can make any event deliciously suc-
cessful and on budget.
We love to dazzle our local guests too with a unique dining experience at Fire & Ice Restaurant, a
scrumptious experience that features Springfield’s only ice bar. With a wide array of creative menu
selections and unique atmosphere, Fire & Ice is the “go-to” spot for date night, business lunches,
dinner with friends and intimate private dining experiences. The Ramada Plaza also offers our own
specialty pizza company, Bella’s Pizzeria for carryout and room service.
In 2015 we were thrilled to have received the most elite award from Ramada Worldwide, (a part of
the Wyndham Hotel Group). Ramada Oasis Hotel was named “Property of the Year” from over 500
other Ramada’s in North America. This accomplishment was due to our owner and team’s constant
