2022-2023 Focus on Oak Grove City Guide Page 45 Community Ministerial Alliance Ministerial Alliance provides a baccalaureate service each year for graduating seniors. Bret Pritchard, Assistant Pastor at First Baptist Church, was master of ceremonies at this year’s baccalaureate hosted by New Life Church. Founded by Bill Davies in the late 1970s, the Ministerial Alliance is dedicated to serving members of the community and transients in Oak Grove who need assistance. Group meets at 8:30 a.m. the third Tuesday of each month at rotating churches. “The Oak Grove Ministerial Alliance of Oak Grove, Missouri, as a Christian organization, exists to lead people to Jesus as Savior and connect them to a local church through cooperative efforts of benevolence, Bible study, evangelism, pastoral support, prayer, worship and youth activities as God leads us,” is the organization’s mission statement. To fulfill its mission, the Ministerial Alliance plans and organizes several community events, a Thanksgiving service, an Easter sunrise service and a baccalaureate service for Oak Grove High School graduating seniors. Regular services include a Bible study at AspireSenior Living, Bristol Manor and Oak Grove Manor. Members of the alliance are: John Jones, Faith in Christ Fellowship; Todd Blansit, New Life Church; Rich Cummings, Grace Baptist Church; Pete Winstead, Faith Community Church, police and fire chaplain; Randy Messer and Bret Pritchard, First Baptist Church; Jaylin Storm, Oak Grove Christian Church; Bob Gross, New Liberty Baptist; Tracy Carpenter, Grace United Methodist Church Ray Gurney, Cross Creek Baptist Mission. Randy Messer, pastor at First Baptist Church, said of the alliance, “It keeps all of us on the same page.
