American National Property And Casualty Company opened its doors in 1973 with a
staff of eight and since that time has quietly grown into one of Springfield’s largest
employers with more than 900 employees.
In a little more than 40 years, we have expanded from a single office to a 240,000
square-foot business complex near the corner of Sunshine Street and Glenstone
Avenue. In the process we have become a community fixture and we are proud that
today that same complex now displays the name the American National Center.
Emphasizing customer service, we have grown to become a network of companies,
people and products united by a single vision – to be a leading provider of insurance
and financial products and services. And our efforts to obtain this vision are being
recognized. We are highly honored to be the only insurance company to receive the
Missouri Quality Award.
But just as important as our business growth and achievements is the premium
American National puts on giving back to our community through our support of
charitable organizations and other institutions that make Springfield such a great
place to call home. Each year our employees volunteer thousands of hours to a
variety of important causes on top of our corporate support for organizations such
as United Way of the Ozarks. Additionally, we’re proud sponsors of the Springfield
Cardinals and were happy to recently become the presenting sponsor of the Farmers
Market of the Ozarks.
American National is proud to be a positive contributor to Springfield’s economic
growth, community development and quality of life and we look forward to a
