With 13 years of banking experience, Jones manages com- mercial real estate and business loans. Gill, who fills a newly created position, most re- cently served as marketing coordinator at Tomo Drug Testing. She’s responsible for the bank’s branding, website, social media campaigns, and public relations and event coordination. Education Linda Wellborn , Evangel University’s director of institutional effectiveness and accreditation activities, was honored as a Mighty Mentor during the 2021 Higher Learning Commission national conference. She was among accreditation peer review- ers who served as team leads for the HLC and helped other members become peer re- viewers. Wellborn, an Evangel faculty mem- ber since 1995, has served as a peer reviewer and consultant for the higher education accrediting organization since 2001. Evangel Named Greg Johns vice presi- dent for student development to succeed the retiring Sheri Phillips. Johns had served as Evangel’s director of spiritual life and cam- pus pastor since 2014 and previously was the area director of the South Africa region for Assemblies of God World Missions. Johns holds a doctorate in higher educa- tion from Nova-Southeastern University, a master’s in Christian education from the As- semblies of God Theological Seminary and bachelor’s in Bible from Central Bible Col- lege. The Ozark Board of Education hired Kim Fitzpatrick as the school district’s execu- tive director of student services beginning in the fall. She’s served as Ozark South Elementary principal for 14 years and began her teaching career in 1989. With a doctor- ate in educational leadership from Saint Louis University, Fitzpatrick succeeds Ger- ald Chambers, who is moving into the role of executive director of secondary learning. College of the Ozarks was named to The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges for 2021. The 200 schools that made the listing, out of roughly 650 surveyed, were selected based on more than 40 data points, includ- ing academic offerings, student debt, career placement services and alumni salary levels. Health Care Family nurse practitioner Stephane Counts joined the medical staff at Citi- zens Memorial Hospital and the Ash Grove Family Medical Center. She treats acute illnesses and injuries, as well as women’s health issues. Counts holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nurs- ing from Cox College and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practi- tioners. Citizens Memorial Hospital added CoxHealth vascular surgeon Dr. Grant Scott as a visiting specialist. At his Boli- var practice, he diagnoses and treats pa- tients for vascular conditions. With a doctorate in medicine from University of Missouri, Scott completed a general surgery residency at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in Arizo- na and a vascular surgery fellowship at Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia. School officials miscalculated 2020 enrollment numbers for the Area’s Largest Higher Learning Institutions list published April 26. The G-Strong headband line created by Li- lac Market Headbands LLC was requested by coaches of a youth basketball team. The May 3 Business Spotlight article, “From Heart to Head,” indicated a player’s parents requested that the company produce the headband. Also, Lilac Market added its second employee in July 2019; the article reported the hiring was in Janu- ary 2020.
