Smith said Equality Healthcare in 2017 assumed oper- ations of a similar clinic started by Blaine at Ozarks Technical Com- munity College. It also operates a downtown clinic at 420 W. College St., Ste. 100. The 1,300-square-foot DMP Family Clinic employs seven and serves employees and their family members. Dr. Rachel Toth , formerly of Cox Health Steeple- chase, was hired to help out with coverage at the new clinic, Smith said. Toth also will see her own pa- tients outside of DMP clinic hours. (OTC: SIM) re- located its sole Springfield store Jan. 30. The company, which does business as Simply Mac, moved to the Brentwood Cen- ter in a 2,325-square-foot space at 2714 S. Glenstone Ave., across from Battlefield Mall where it operated since 2013. Simply Mac CEO Reinier Voigt said in a news release the total occupan- cy cost for the new store is 57% lower than its former site in the mall. Vern LoForti , Simply Mac chief financial officer, said the company signed a five-year lease for the six-employee shop. Terms were undisclosed. The retailer offers Apple’s suite of products, as well as third-party accessories and repairs, according to its web- site. The Miami, Florida-based company operates over 40 stores in 17 states. Commercial St. Owner Michelle Stracke-Johnson said she started the shop in 2016 as a way to turn her collectibles hobby into a business. The venture closed later that year but relaunched in July 2020, she said. She also owns beauty spa The Wax Bar and works as an esthetician Monday through Wednesday inside a portion of her 2,500-square-foot C-Street shop. She said relocation costs were around $1,500, and she signed a one-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Concord Investment Group Inc. Aside from its vintage stock, Gypsy Girl Junk sells home decor, local art and essential oils. She said most of the inventory is acquired through auctions, fore- closures or donations.
