Along with wearing a mask, watching your distance and washing your hands, COVID-19 vaccination is one of the most important tools to help our community return to normal. THE VACCINES ARE SAFE AND EFFECTIVE: The current COVID-19 vaccines have undergone rigorous scientific processes to ensure they are safe and effective. Millions of people in the United States have already been vacci- nated. In clinical trials, the vaccines were nearly 95% effective in preventing COVID-19 after the second dose. 70% VACCINATION GOAL: To reach a good level of protection for our entire community, our goal is for at least 70% of individuals to get vaccinated. Whether you’ve been vaccinated or still waiting your turn, it’s important to continue to wear masks, watch your distance and wash your hands. HOW YOU CAN HELP: Encourage your family, friends and neighbors to receive the vaccine when it’s their turn. Inform them that the vaccines are safe and effective, will save lives and help our community get back on track.
