The money was raised during a Jeep ride organized by the group to help raise awareness of breast cancer treatment and services. Representing Jeepin for a Cure is committee members Laura and Wade Messersmith, far left, and co-founders Candice Reed and Edmond McClure, far right. There were 285 Jeeps participating this year, beating the goal of 200, organizers say. The next annual event is scheduled Oct. 16, 2021. MSU joined the MO ABLE network, a savings account program under the federal Achieving a Better Life Experience Act that allows disabled persons to save and invest money without losing certain federal benefits, such as Medicaid.
