Residents can enjoy the perks of a personal chef, exercise facilities, ice cream parlor, wi-fi, private dining rooms, library, clubhouse, lake and more. Elfindale covers the entire spectrum of 55+ care. Living quarters range from freestanding cot- tages to apartment style quarters in The Lodge. The Manor at Elfindale houses a state-of-the-art rehab facility. We offer all private rooms for long term care needs. In May of 2021, our brand-new 50 bed assisted living facility will open allow- ing a complete range of care in the Elfindale community. But the thing that sets Elfindale apart is the feeling of community. “We have a real community envi- ronment,” says Jessica Saad, executive director of Creekside at Elfindale. “When you move in you basically have a built-in network or friend group.” COVID-19 has limited some of the activities Elfindale residents are able to enjoy as part of their residence but before the pandemic, the facility partnered with the Springfield Symphony and would provide free tickets to residents during the season. There are also events held on the premises throughout the year. “We really try to keep everyone involved in the community as much as possible,” says Saad. Events and excur- sions will resume when it’s safe. In speaking of COVID-19, Saad also mentions that staff at Elfindale were more than willing to adapt and tailor services offered in order to best help accommodate residents and keep them safe in the midst of a pandemic. Personal shopping isn’t usually part of the living arrangements but in order to keep residents safe, it has become part of the services offered. “We’re doing everything we can to ensure their safety during this time.” “One of our mottoes is ‘family serving family’ and we hold everyone to that high expectation. We are here to provide care and companionship as we would for our very own parents or grandparents. We do our best to provide dignity of life for them.” Saad notes that the culture is cohesive through- out the campus. “When a resident is going from building to building, the overall feeling and aesthetic is the same. That makes it a little more comfortable and gives much more sense of a community.” Creekside Retirement consists of The Crossings, over 70 cottages for independent living for active adults 55+ and range in size from 850 to 1,135 square feet, The Lodge at Elfindale for apart- ment living, where each apartment has its own balcony or patio and floor plans range from 615 to 1,230 square feet, and The Manor at Elfindale for skilled care, memory care and rehabilita- tion services and long term care. The upcoming assisted living facility will aesthetically mimic the historic buildings surrounding it and is suited for residents who need regularly scheduled care. Elfindale Retirement Comminity is nationally ranked by NRC Health as #1 in employee satis- factions and #4 in resident satisfaction.
