Testimonials I thank God for Christina and I thank God for her vision because domestic violence, it can take a woman to a point in life where she does not feel like herself. And sometimes you don’t know how to get out but once you get out you want to stay out of it. So, I just want to thank God for just a better place, for a home. Safety was everything. You knew that you could go to bed and no one would be standing over you, messing with you or bothering you. You are free! I think one of the real respects came out of the program is that I get a chance to save my money and get to take some- thing with you. I just thank God for the program and housing that is open and that I am able to see bigger dreams and bigger visions. I just pray for more homes, in general. Rebound being blessed with so many more homes because it is a need. It is not a want it’s a need. – Survivor Mission Statement The Rebound Foundation, a 501c3 organization, was founded by Dana and Christina Ford to help end the cycle of domestic violence through transitional housing and prevention education. Marda’s House is a transitional living program where women and chil- dren survivors can enjoy clean, stable housing for six-twelve months while they work towards healing, stability, and independence. There are currently two Marda’s House Homes located in Springfield, Missouri. The Block program is a prevention initiative to break the cycle of domestic violence, teen dating violence and sexual assault by providing quality education to help build a culture of nonviolence in youth, teach safe and healthy relationships and equip leaders with the right tools to educate the youth they serve. The Rebound currently partners with local organizations, after school programs and schools to teach students and kids about healthy and unhealthy relationships.
