Thanks to our donors, we are able to continuously enhance hospital programs and services, provide lifesaving equipment, fund capital projects and assist patients with medication, transportation and other care related expenses. 12-Month Goals We are focused on three important initiatives for FY21: Mercy Kids - Springfield’s first pediatric emergency department will open in 2021 and will be funded entirely by Mercy Health Foundation donors. Addi- tional support is needed to complete this project and other Mercy Kids projects including an upgraded pediatric intensive care unit. Mercy Heart Hospital Springfield - Mercy’s new heart hospital offers the highest level of heart care while keeping patients close to home. Mercy Health Foun- dation is committed to supporting advanced technol- ogies and the latest diagnostic tools to ensure that those who come to us for care have access to high quality, compassionate heart care, right here in our community. St. John’s Chapel - St. John’s Chapel on Mercy Hos- pital Springfield’s campus is a place patients and vis- itors alike find spiritual solace. The Foundation has embarked on a campaign to help restore and enhance the chapel to preserve it as a place of worship and comfort for generations to come. How People and Businesses Can Help Mercy Health Foundation helps ensure the compas- sionate care and exceptional service Mercy is known for is accessible to all who need it. In fact, donations to the Foundation may be designated to a program or service that holds special meaning through our Grate- ful Families program, or they may be applied to an area that’s most in need. An investment in Mercy – no matter how big or small – is an investment in the lives and health of our friends, neighbors and loved ones right here in our community. Annual Events Mercy Health Foundation hosts several events through- out the year. The health and safety of our community is our top priority. To protect our valued patients, visitors and supporters, we are creating new, socially respon- sible ways to engage with one another through our events.
