NATURE Fayetteville, Arkansas-based artist Jason Jones this summer works on his mural, dubbed “The Pollinator,” at Farmers Park. The artwork covers over 25 feet on the west facade of the Guaranty Bank corporate office building. Jones said the image captures the interaction between technology and nature. It’s part of an ongoing “culture made vs. nature made” series at Farmers Park and another Green Circle Projects LLC property, Quarry Town, in Galloway Village. Jones was scheduled this month to begin a second mural at Farmers Park – this one on the south side of the Progress and Reverie building. BEER CHAIRMAN Heart of America Beverage Co. Chief Financial Officer Brian Gelner addresses the National Beer Wholesalers Association on Sept. 24 during his introduction as board chairman at the annual convention in Las Vegas. Gelner, who is in leadership at the Springfield-based beverage distribution company, will serve a one-year term. NBWA represents 3,000 beer distributors, advocating with lawmakers on their behalf.
