The project had an original target completion of December, but it’s now expected to open next fall, said Karl Bieber, public relations manager for owner Vetter Health Services, who cited rainy weather and drainage issues. The addition to the Elfindale campus, which already houses independent living and skilled nursing facilities, is designed with 44 one- and two-bedroom apartments on two stories. Bieber said about 30 people already are on the waiting list. The site includes a monastery original to the property that Bieber said might be turned into a welcome center or additional offices. —Kathryn Hardison, Reporter Creekside at Elfindale Assisted Living 1401 W.
