Mission Statement To share in the love of Jesus Christ by partnering with Nicaragua’s poorest people in healthcare, edu- cation, economic development, and housing. Service Area This organization works to eradicate extreme poverty and empower the locals by offering programs in healthcare, education, economic development, and housing. We work with over 59,000 people in 166 communities across rural Nicaragua. Funding The Rainbow Network relies on individual and church donations, grants, and fundraising events to supply our programs and meet the needs of the communi- ties in which we work. 12 Month Goals The Rainbow Network aims to increase revenue by acquiring new partnerships and donors. The Rainbow Network would like to grow the organization by con- necting with the community through new fundraising events, accessible online giving, and increased com- munication and transparency. The organization will create a stronger presence on social media that will invite new supporters to join with us as our programs evolve along with our organization. Annual Events • Mud Volleyball Tournament – Septemeber 7, 2019 • Night for Nicaragua – October 19, 2019 • Painting with a Twist for Nicaragua – December 5, 2019 How People and Businesses Can Help We rely on the support from our donors and part- ners! Businesses can get involved by sponsoring one or more fundraising events, or by donating their goods/services at events or as items to send to Nicaragua. People can get involved by volunteering with the organization, hosting a supply drive, invit- ing Rainbow Network to speak at their church, or sponsoring an individual or community in Nicaragua. Everyone can help by donating any financial amount or by spreading the word about our mission and how The Rainbow Network programs are transforming lives in Nicaragua. 78 2019 GIVING GUIDE SPRINGFIELD BUSINESS JOURNAL | ADVERTISING SUPPLEMENT
