Construction Emery Sapp & Sons Inc. promoted Ja- son Rode to branch manager and assistant vice president. With the company since 2006 as a project manager and assistant branch manager in Columbia, he now leads operations in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklaho- ma and Kansas. Health Care CoxHealth Public Safety and Security System Director Eric Clay was honored with the Phillip A. Gaffney Faculty Chair Award. Given by the International Asso- ciation for Healthcare Security & Safety, the award is presented to individuals ex- emplifying and advancing purposes of the foundation through achievement in the profession. Clay has worked with Cox- Health since 2014. The IAHSS also recognized CoxHealth as a Program of Distinction in 2019, the only Missouri health care system to receive the honor. To qualify, 70% of an organiza- tion’s security officers must hold a current basic, advanced or supervisor certification, along with the director or administrative leader. CoxHealth has 100% of its officers certified. CoxHealth Emergency Medical Services attained International Academics of Emer- gency Dispatch status as an Accredited Center of Excellence for its use of the Med- ical Priority Dispatch System. CoxHealth is one of six emergency dispatch centers in Missouri to achieve the distinction. Ac- creditation is achieved through an inten- sive self-assessment based on the IAED’s Twenty Points of Accreditation. Insurance Connell Insurance Inc. promoted Casey Chastain , Jay Hickman and Tom Jensen to partners. Chastain is a senior professional in hu- man resources, focused on reducing risk and capturing wasted dollars for employ- ers through worker’s compensation, Af- fordable Care Act compliance and HR consulting. Hickman works with multi- unit restaurant owners, waste haulers, large commercial property owners and large fleet auto clients. Jensen leads Con- nell’s employer benefits practice, including welfare arrangements, association health plans, risk analysis, cost reduction strate- gies, self-insured plan design and health care reform compliance. Nonprofit The Junior League of Springfield, Mis- souri Inc. installed four new officers to its 2019-20 board of directors: Nikki Holden , president; Courtney Hayes , president- elect; Tara Benson , secretary; and Mia Young , treasurer. JLS also added nine in- dividuals to board seats: Rachel Fuhrman, Heather Goller, Stephanie Hesser, Rianne Hoos, Katie Moore, Allison Robertson, Stacy Schneider, Amie Squibb and Heather Trinca. Transportation Steve Campbell was named district engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Southwest District. He began working for MoDOT in 1993 and has served as the 21-county southwest district’s construction and materials manager since 2011.
