Owner Shauna Smith Yates said an August or September relocation date is planned to 1136 St. Louis St., just west of Steak ’n Shake in the former Kolar’s build- ing. Yates said about a year ago, she was in- formed the downtown building housing her 317 E. Walnut St. studio was selling and she would have to move out. “I started a pretty quick, intense search,” she said. That search led to the St. Louis Street building, which she found out had recently been put up for sale. Neal Wood and Jim Morris, two clients of The Bodysmith, de- cided to buy the property out of John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts’ bankruptcy proceedings. Yates said she’s working out a lease for undisclosed terms with Wood and Morris to occupy the building’s more than 4,000 square feet. A building permit on file with the city shows a declared valuation of roughly $50,000 for the infill work. The new location will have three main rooms for Pilates, as well as another room for The Bodysmith’s Rock Steady Boxing program for Parkinson’s patients. South-side Real Estate Smokin’ Bob’s BBQ signs on at Magers Crossing by Geoff Pickle · gpickle@sbj.net Smokin’ Bob’s BBQ LLC is adding a sec- ond restaurant in Springfield. Owner Bob Craver said a September opening is targeted for his new location at 2100 W. Repub- lic Road in Magers Crossing. “The new location’s going to have double the smoke capacity,” he said. “When we have large catering events, that’s going to be better.” Similar to his current restaurant at 3309 E. Sunshine St., Craver said the new site would serve fresh barbecue. The res- taurant is open until it sells out each day, with menu offerings that include sand- wiches and ribs.  Craver said he entered a lease for un- disclosed terms to occupy 2,200 square feet at 2100 W. Republic Road on the far east side of Magers Crossing’s newest ad- dition. Smokin’ Bob’s BBQ is slated to join Crave Cookie Dough, which signed a lease to occupy 1,380 square feet on the west end of the same building. Crave, which oper- ates downtown and already has hung signage in Magers Crossing, plans to open its second store by the end of summer. The 14,000-square- foot building is the third in Magers Crossing, which has a tenant list including Great American Taco Co., The Roost Bar & Grill and Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care. Craver started Smokin’ Bob’s as a food truck in January 2013.
