The Community Times Magazine April 2020-Page 37 S hawn has been the Compliance Officer at Carolina Bank for the past seven years. He is a 2001 graduate of Wilson High School and a 2006 graduate of Winthrop University with a B.S in Business Administration. After graduation Shawn began working in Loss Mitigation at Citi before moving back home to Florence, SC in 2010 to work for Chase Bank. When Shawn isn’t working his full time job he can be found somewhere in the community working with youth. Shawn is currently the Vice Basileus of the Chi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc and leads community events through the fraternity. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Florence Youth Basketball League and has been a youth basketball coach. He also serves on the PAL Baseball League and the Florence Athletic Hall of Fame Board of Directors. Shawn is also the founder of G-LAB Legacies, Inc., a nonprofit organization, aimed at helping young men become leaders. With all he does in the community, Shawn is ultimately known as a family man. Shawn has been married to wife Michelle for 11 years and have 3 children Samaria, Joseph and Jeremiah.
