The Clothes Closet is located on the east side of the Odessa Outlet Center, 1324 E. Old Hwy. 40. Donations are accepted inside or at the drop box in back of the building. Facility is open 1-5 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The board meets quarterly or as needed at 12 p.m. on the first Tuesday at the store. Phone number is (816)633-5600. After expenses, proceeds from the sale of merchandise are donated to local organizations. Board members are Nita Dillon, Jim and Sylvia Curtis, Annie Hotmer-Utz, Rena Munsterman, Jerry Nance, Bill Hotmer, Beverly Bragaw, Linda and Don Cohron, Linda Long and Jeanie Wade. Service Clothes Closet Helen’s House Helen’s House is located on Mason Street and provides women and children with two new or like-new outfits every 60 days. Helen’s House, located at 211 W. Main Street, helps provide quality clothing to women and children in the area. Helen’s House is a mission of Rolling Meadows Christian Church. The space is set up as a boutique, with size sorted clothing for women and children, displays of accessories and a dressing room in the back. Organization is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday and Thurdsay and provides two outfits to children kindergarten-senior and women every 60 days. Outfits also include accessories, and children are also given a pillow each year. Patrons are able to shop through the items at Helen’s House and try them on in order to make sure they fit correctly. There is no purchase or proof of income necessary, Brenda Littleton, director, said, however proof of residence in the Odessa R-7 or Wellington-Napoleon R-9 School District is required.
