A community organization or business may request Jackson County Health Department to come on site. A copy of child’s immunization record will be needed at the time of service. She helps where needed, including playing piano during church services, leading Bible studies, serving refreshments during meals, and playing dominoes. The organization fits in between a hospital and a residential care facility. Their mission is: “We’ve dedicated our lives to yours!” Rehabilitation, social services, activities, dietary and medical services are provided. A strong rehab program is available for those who have had heart attacks, strokes or fractured hips. A special care unit is also offered for those who suffer from dementia or Alzheimer’s. “Whether you need adult daycare, respite services, therapy to get you back on your feet, our home and rehab services are there for you,” Michelle Weiershauser, administrator, said. “From hospital to us and back home, we will follow your care, monitor your progress and see that your transition is smooth.” Peggy Alsabeq directs social services, Dr. Richard Smith is themedical director, and Erin Tousey is the activities director. Assistance in financial arrangements is available to accommodate each individual’s situation. Vendor payments under the Medicare/Medicaid program are accepted.
