2020-2021 Focus on Oak Grove City Guide Page 37 Recreation Local campgrounds The Oak Grove area is home to two commercial campgrounds, KOA of Kansas City East/Oak Grove and Lake Paradise. KOA KOA of Kansas City East/Oak Grove is located within city limits north of Interstate 70 at 303 NE Third Street. KOA Campground has camping cabins, a clubhouse with full kitchen, laundry facilities, playground including an air pad, mining sluice, miniature golf and gift shop. Outdoor pool, food service and theme weekends are offered seasonally. Bike rentals also are available. The park has propane, free wireless internet and cable, and considers itself “satellite friendly.” Dogs and big rigs are welcome in the park. Cabins fit as many as six people. Lake Paradise has tent and RV campgrounds as well as varying types of cabins. Fishing, swimming, mini-golf, horseshoes, shuffleboard and boat rental are available, as well as day passes.
