The mayor and special guest oversee the lighting of the Christmas tree in front of City Hall after performances by the high school choir and a reading from the middle school. Primary students make ornaments for the Christmas tree and elementary and middle school students bring canned goods to donate to the Community Services League. High school students donate gifts and gift cards for CSL and National Honor Society students serve hot chocolate, cookies and wassail to those in attendance.
