Dr. Douglas Neal, a graduate of Texas A&M University and Royal College of Veterinary Medicine, was hired in the late 1990s and later became partner. At the time of Dr. Rex Findley’s retirement Dr. Neal took full operating control of the practice. The hospital has medical and surgical equipment, large boarding and kennel area and Jackson County’s only large animal haul-in facility for farm animals. In addition to Dr. Neal, who divides his time between Oak Grove and the Lee’s Summit satellite clinic, staff veterinarians include Dr. Stacy Messner, a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine, who works exclusively in Oak Grove, and Dr. Gower.
