HERTZ FARM MANAGEMENT CELEBRATES 70 YEARS OF FAMILY AND FARMLAND STEWARDSHIP

2016 marks 70 years in the farmland asset management business for Hertz Farm Management. Carl F. Hertz, one of the first Accredited Farm Managers in the United States, founded the company in 1946 with a vision that every farm needs effective farm management. He was a key player in helping to start a new industry of professional farm management.

Hertz has evolved from a farm management company into a full service agriculture company with the addition of real estate and appraisal services. As a team of farmland professionals, their shared knowledge has supported and strengthened each area. With 14 offices and a staff of over 100 professionals throughout the Midwest, they manage over 2,400 farms consisting of more than 550,000 acres.

Hertz has offices in Humboldt, Mason City, Mt. Vernon, Nevada (corporate), New Market, Strawberry Point and Waterloo, IA; DeKalb, Geneseo, Kankakee and Monticello, IL; Omaha and Norfolk, NE; and Tipton, IN.

Randy Hertz, son of Carl Hertz, is the current chairman of Hertz Farm Management. “Our company continues to be unique and successful because of our commitment to the core philosophies my father believed in,” he said. “At Hertz Farm Management, we believe in stewardship, sustainability, and working with clients to meet their needs—and delivering excellent results with consistency and integrity.”

To commemorate the anniversary, Hertz offices will share their story and celebrate with the communities they serve at open houses planned throughout the year.
