That’s led state of- ficials to find ways to bolster its long-term viability. Missouri FIRST – which stands for Financing Invest- ment in our Rural, Small business, and Technology communities – has grown from $200 million just a year prior, according to state Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick. “I was a little sur- prised,” said Fitz- patrick, who took office Jan. 14, after being appointed by Gov. TheCEOofSpringfielddigitalcommerce firm Classy Llama Studios LLC, Theobald has launched Original Leadership, a video training series designed to grow leadership qualities in individuals. He said the idea “is for every person to know and fully express who they really are.” Theobald and his team have produced 23 Original Leadership videos since launching March 7 on YouTube. “We say the first team you have to lead is yourself, so there’s a lot of things that get out of whack internally just because of how we grow up, the different influ- ences we have in our lives,” Theobald said. “There’s so many things that create what we call incoherence inside of us.” A website, OriginalLeadership.com, is also live. Posted videos are titled, “The Lies That Bind Us,” “Saying No to Bad In- vestment” and “Don’t Worship Growth.” “I think most of leadership is just un- leashing what’s true in a person and dis- assembling or breaking down what’s false in them.
