The State Technical College of Missouri’s Utility Technician Center is a $12.2 million facility to house the new utility systems technician degree program. It is designed with administrative, classroom and lab spaces, and the key feature is a 20,000-square- foot, 40-foot-high indoor lab. The lab will have a dirt floor, facilitating the use of heavy equipment to train on setting, climbing and wiring utility poles. Paragon Architecture LLC is the project architect with engineers Toth & Associates Inc., civil and structural; and IMEG Corp. (Rock Island, Illinois), mechanical. The project is slated for completion in spring 2020. The Crowder College Cassville Campus consists of three buildings that house various classes and departments. The $2.1 million addition and interior remodeling project will expand classroom capacity and increase space for the college’s nursing program. Paragon Architecture LLC is the project architect, and R.E. Smith Construction Co. is the general contractor. Engineering work is provided by Olsson Inc., civil; J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
