Mayor of Oak Grove

Welcome to Oak Grove!

The City of Oak Grove would like to welcome you to our community and encourage you to choose our

City to raise a family or establish a business. Oak Grove has a long history of providing a more rural

family-oriented setting to reside and work in with the convenience of being only minutes away from the

many attractions the Kansas City Metro area has to offer.

Oak Grove features an excellent K-12 school system that was recently awarded the Kindest School in

Kansas City. Oak Grove parks and recreation amenities include spacious and well-kept parks with ball

fields, equine facilities, shelter houses, playgrounds, and fishing at Caraway Lake.

A new aquatics center is being constructed at the newly acquired Bent Oak property for the 2018

season. The Civic Center is being remodeled to house the Police Department and City Hall. The Davis

Memorial Center provides services to Oak Grove’s senior citizens which include daily activities, luncheons,

and the Meals on Wheels program which provides services for senior citizens who live within the city

limits.

Oak Grove’s convenient location to Interstate 70 coupled with the commitment and dedication from the

administration and city staff to the improvements projects along Broadway Street and the new diverging

diamond at the I-70 interchange to provide the City with an improved transportation system for both

citizens and visitors.

The City partners with the Chamber of Commerce to positively enhance the business venues within

the City. Because Oak Grove is one of the fastest growing communities in the Kansas City Metropolitan area, we feel our city offers a

community that is conducive to new and improved commercial venues to better serve citizens. Oak Grove offers a variety of housing

options throughout our community. There is a variety of residential subdivisions to choose from with competitively priced options.

We are committed to working with our local business community, parks and recreation and the Oak Grove R-VI School District to

enhance the quality of life in Oak Grove, so that it will be a place that our citizens love to live.

Oak Grove is a community that values all of its citizens. We invite you to make Oak Grove your hometown as we have made it ours.

Please contact City Hall or the Oak Grove Chamber of Commerce for more information regarding our City.

“Come Grow With Us!”

Respectfully,

Jeremy Martin
